  • College Sports Report: Construction will begin soon on the Rice Owls’ new Patricia Lipoma Kraft '87 and Jonathan A. Kraft Football Pavilion. The pavilion will include a full-length football field with an open-air design that will allow for greater airflow and cooler summer practices. The new pavilion is part of phase 1 of the Rice’s Gateway Project, a development that will “create a pedestrian-friendly link between the campus and Rice Village,” according to the university’s recent release.
