The Astros are helping bring baseball back to children affected by the Texas Hill Country floods. Astros owner Jim Crane recently announced the team would be donating $2.5 million for the construction of three new baseball/softball fields and additional sports facilities in Ingram, Texas.
Rice was recently named the new host of a 2026 March Madness Regional after the NCAA decided it would be best to move the regional out of the University of Houston campus in case the Cougars receive a tournament spot in the region.
The Texans brought in some reinforcements for their secondary, signing former standout New Caney High School alumni Zion Childress off the Cowboys practice squad.
